STAPLE MAGAZINE – INVITATION TO CONTRIBUTE
The next issue of Staple magazine will focus on Nottingham and feature a showcase of NWS members’ work. Any members who wish to send poems, stories, articles, rants on the state of the art, theatrical monologues
that work on the page, or any other unclassifiable items please forward them either by email to Wayne Burrows (wayneburrows@ntlworld.com) or to his snail mail address at 114 – 116 St Stephen’s Road, Sneinton,
Nottingham NG2 4JS.
The deadline will be early September, and while shorter pieces will obviously have a better chance of inclusion than longer ones, there’s no specific limit at this stage: as a rough guideline, around 3 – 4000
words for prose is probably the maximum, but he’d be happy to use an exceptional piece of double that length if it were possible to fit it in – anything from a paragraph upwards will be fine, apparently…

July 5, 2007Hilary Cartmel Sculpture to Feature Richard Pilgrim’s Poem
July 5, 2007Some of you will remember Hilary coming along to an earlier social, and bringing her portfolio and sculptural models with her. She was asking for contributions to a couple of sculptural commissions she’s been working on. The first of these, to be unveiled later this month in a Beeston park, has now been completed and features a poem by NWS member Richard Pilgrim. (Those of you who didn’t respond to Hilary’s invitation might like to note that Richard received what he describes as “a generous cheque” for his work.)
Details of the unveiling to follow.
