Relive the glory years of rock and roll as Vince Eager visits Nottingham Central Library to tell the fascinating and often  hilarious tale of his 50 years in showbusiness. 

During the 50’s  Vince  toured with Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Marty Wilde, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Fury and many more top names.  Later in his career he  starred in the Sir Laurence Olivier Award winning West End musical “ELVIS”.

One year ago, Nottingham’s newest performance-y platform started moving around the city to create a peripatetic space for people to experience high-octane performance-y antics.

So far we’ve Hatched three times to over 400 people and supported 40 emerging artists to break from their creative shell. So we thought it was time to celebrate.

Hatch: One responds to the theme of One to help us celebrate being One. 15 artists take over our biggest venue yet with work that deals with one-ness, lasts one minute or is experienced by one person at a time. One night only. One of a kind. One to remember. Hatch: One.

The talk will cover the role of Arts Council England with relation to the East Midlands Literature scene and the support ACE can offer in terms of development and funding for writers across all genres, followed by a Q and A. An informal social will follow.
